The Sheriff’s Office has a salary structure for Sworn, Animal Control, and Dispatch based on years of service. At this time we do not offer lateral entry opportunities.
Sworn Patrol Deputy
Entry $62,959, Six (6) Months $64,061, One Year (1) $65,342. The sworn scale has a STEP raise every year up to a current Maximum of $81,244 at twelve (12) years of service. In addition, the following pay is authorized:
- $300 initial New Hire uniform allowance, $1200 yearly uniform allowance for uniform personnel
- $600/$900 yearly cell phone allowance
- $900/$1800 yearly supplement for SWAT Negotiator/SWAT Operation respectively
- $600/$1200/$1800 certificate pay
- $75/year longevity pay after 5 years of service, paid yearly
- Standard county benefits
Dispatcher
Entry $54,128, Six (6) Months $55,210, One Year (1) $56,314. The current dispatch pay scale has STEP raises at four (4) years, eight (8) years, and maxes out at $61,567 at twelve (12) years of service.
