ParkerCounty Sheriff’s deputies arrested a trio of men stemming from an abandoned vehicle.
ParkerCounty Sheriff Larry Fowler said the incident occurred Sunday morning around 3:30 a.m., in the 2500 block of Thompson Road in Weatherford.
A Sheriff’s deputy observed an abandoned 2003 Chevrolet truck at the intersection of Thompson Road and Chisholm Trail and stopped to investigate. The deputy encountered a male subject laying down in the bed of the truck, identified as Dustan Shane Graydon, 35. Another male subject, identified as Bobby Lee Fortune Jr, 49, approached the vehicle as the deputy was speaking with Graydon. The deputy reported both men were acting suspicious, making furtive movements, leading the deputy to believe they would attempt to flee from him during questioning.
Both men were detained until an initial investigation could be concluded. Graydon resisted the deputy and other deputies were called to the scene for assistance.
Deputies discovered drug paraphernalia in the truck along with multiple cell phones, several pairs of gloves, a club, binoculars and numerous tools including typically used in the commission of burglaries and thefts.
A third suspect, identified as Kelley Tyrone Moses, 41, was discovered hiding near the truck, behind brush. Moses was subsequently arrested for possessing a suspected controlled substance.
The truck was towed from the scene. All three men were arrested and booked into the Parker County Jail.
Moses was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was additionally arrested for two outstanding warrants of violating a promise to appear and no driver’s license. Moses’ bond was not set as of this morning. Graydon was charged with interference with public duties. Graydon was released Sunday evening on a $1,500 bond. Fortune Jr was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon. He was released Sunday evening on a $2,000 bond.
