Electric Company Scam Artist Arrested July 10, 2014.

Gregory J. Long , wanted by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office for the Charge, Theft of Property $1,500 but less than $20,000. Long was taken into custody in Ottawa County Oklahoma. At the direction of the Parker County FAST Team, in conjunction with the United States Marshal’s Service.
The charges on Long arose from Long “scamming” an elderly person in Parker County. When the investigation began, Investigators discovered Long was wanted for questioning or had active warrants for his arrest in four other Jurisdictions in Texas for similar offenses. Long also had warrants for his arrest in the states of Iowa and Kansas, for similar offenses.
The FAST Unit working with US Marshal’s Intelligent Services launched a nationwide publicity campaign to inform other Agencies and Financial Institutions of Long’s activities. This was done in an attempt to locate Long, prevent future offenses and identify other victims of Long’s “scam”.
This morning FAST Investigators received an anonymous tip of a possible location for Long. Investigators contacted the Security Staff of a Casino Located in Ottawa County Oklahoma and confirmed Long was present in the Casio. Quapaw Tribal Marshals arrived and took Long into custody. Two of Long’s previously unidentified associates were also arrested.
