PRESS RELEASE

CRIME OF THE WEEK

Parker County Sheriff’s Investigators are seeking the identity of the juveniles who own two bicycles, left at the scene of a criminal mischief call.

On Monday, March 12, Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 200-block of Sandy Oaks Road, in Springtown, around 3 p.m.

The complainant stated four males, possibly juveniles, were reportedly inside an abandoned trailer house, damaging the house and property.

Deputies located four young males at the cul-de-sac near the abandoned home, and attempted to make contact with them. When the juveniles observed the deputies approaching them, they dropped two of the bikes, fled on foot and jumped into a ravine.

Deputies canvassed the area, unable to locate the juveniles.

Deputies collected the bikes and logged them into evidence.

Sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the juveniles who own the bikes, and were involved in the criminal mischief.

The bicycles are described as a royal blue Mongoose (spray painted with spots of black paint, lacking handlebar grips, and with a ripped seat), and a metallic rainbow colored Kent Fantasy bike.

“We are hoping someone recognizes the bicycles and notifies us,” said Sheriff Larry Fowler.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at (817) 599-5555. You may remain anonymous when calling the hotline. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the suspects involved in this crime.
