07-06-2012 Underage Drinkers

ParkerCountySheriff’s deputies responded to an underage drinking party occurring July 5, 2012, in the 1700 block of FM 1187.

Shortly after midnight, an anonymous call was made to dispatchers, reporting underage drinkers attending a large party.

When Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene, they observed a large group of young adults holding beer cans and plastic cups. Numerous teens and the adult male occupant of the residence saw the deputies and fled on foot through the house, out the front door and over a fence.

Deputies detained 26 underage individuals who had been consuming alcohol and issued each one a minor in consumption of alcohol citation. Deputies then contacted each of their parents to take custody of them.

The property owner was contacted, who advised the unidentified renter was in violation of the rental agreement when he fled the scene and abandoned the residence. The case had been turned over to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division and is ongoing.
