Early Morning Convenience Store Burglaries

Burglars Hit Convenience Stores

Three convenience stores were burglarized early Monday.

ParkerCounty Sheriff’s deputies and crime scene investigators responded to the Aledo Bearcat Valero in the 40 block of FM 1187 around 1:20 a.m.

Sheriff’s deputies reported the suspect(s) entered the store by force using a blunt object to break the front windows of the store.

The store was left in disarray with merchandise strewn about the store.

The store owner reported two cash registers, an undetermined amount of currency and an undetermined amount of cigarettes were stolen. A glass door and window, valued at $500 were damaged in the burglary as well.

The Brock Junction convenience store, located in the 7400 block of West Interstate 20, was also burglarized. Sheriff’s investigators believe the suspects forcefully entered the store around 5:20 a.m., just hours after the Aledo store was reported.
Sheriff’s investigators believe the burglaries are related, saying there were similarities.

Deputies stated blunt objects were used to break the windows of the Brock Junction store and the Aledo Valero store.

Brock store personnel also reported cigarettes were also taken during the burglary.

Burglars shattered the side glass on side of the building to gain entry to the Brock store.

Also taken in the Brock store were cigarettes and an undetermined amount of currency.

Surveillance cameras caught the suspect vehicle on camera.

Sheriff’s investigators described the car as a small compact silver vehicle used in both burglaries. At least three black males wearing hoods were seen on the tape. All suspects, ranging from 5-feet-8-inches to 6-feet tall, were wearing dark clothing.

Sheriff’s Deputies are working closely with Weatherford Police detectives, saying the same similarities were revealed in the burglary of the Shell station at Clear Lake Drive and I-20, also early this morning.
