Several recent Aledo area residential burglaries have been reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.

Within the past 60 days, the Sheriff’s Office has received five reports of residential burglaries in the Aledo region.

Most recently, an off-duty Fort Worth Police officer witnessed a suspicious person running from a residence in the 100 block of Solano Circle, in Annetta on Thursday, Sept. 27.

The officer observed the suspect with valuables in his possession; enter an older model red/purple Ford Mustang with the rear window blacked out with possible plastic. The officer turned his vehicle around to follow the suspect who fled north on FM 5. The officer notified Sheriff’s deputies, who searched the area for the suspect but could not locate him. The homeowners were also notified, and reported the suspect stole a rifle, three shotguns, a Kindle Fire Notebook and a video camera with a total value of $2,450.

The front window of the residence had been shattered causing $1,000 in damages.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, wearing a red shirt.

Other incidents in the Aledo and surrounding areas include the 100 block of Timberland Lane in Aledo on Aug. 8. The homebuilder reported unknown suspect(s) entered a home under construction and stole two air conditioning units, a dishwasher and cook top. The reported loss equaled nearly $6,000.

Deputies responded to a burglary Aug 9, in the 100 block of Turnberry Court in Annetta.

The complainants reported unknown suspect(s) entered the unlocked garage and stole two kegs along with equipment for the kegs. The homeowners also reported the suspect(s) entered their unlocked vehicle and stole a Garmen GPS and a pair of Oakley sunglasses. A total loss of $650 was reported.

A burglary was reported in the 1200 block of Terry Drive in Aledo, Sept. 17, where unknown suspect(s) entered the locked residence.

A $5,000 was reported including jewelry, currency, electronics, personal items, fishing equipment, ammunition and weapons. The house was left in disarray.

On Sept. 24, another Aledo residence was burglarized in the 1100 block of Savage Lane. The homeowners reported unknown suspect(s) forcefully entered their home by kicking the front door in. The suspect(s) stole two plasma televisions, 20-feet of cable, a flat-screen TV wall mount kits and a padlock. A statue was damaged in the burglary along with damages to the door and door frame.

ParkerCounty Sheriff Larry Fowler encourages the public to know your neighbors and neighborhood.

“We urge residents to call and report any and all suspicious persons or vehicles in your area,” Fowler said.
