12-11-2012 Deputies Arrest Man for Family Violence
ParkerCounty Sheriff’s deputies arrested a ParkerCounty man early this morning, and charged him with assault family violence.
ParkerCounty Sheriff Larry Fowler said the call was reported around 5 a.m., in the 7000 block of River Trail.
The 35-year-old female victim reported Steven Craig Connaway, 34, assaulted her during an argument.
The victim stated Connaway struck her multiple times, knocking her to the floor.
When deputies arrived, they observed the victim to be bleeding with several wounds.
The victim reported she attempted to defend herself during the attack, when the suspect kicked her in the face. She was able to flee the residence and contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Deputies made contact with Connaway who reported the victim caused the injuries to herself. Deputies observed a cut to Connaway’s hand which appeared to be aggressive and not a defensive wound.
He was arrested and transported to the Parker County Jail. His bond has not been set as of Tuesday morning.
