Woman Arrested in Murder Case 09-24-2013.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2013.
PRESS RELEASE
ParkerCounty Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation in the death of a 51-year ParkerCounty man identified as Curtis Wayne Kuehner.
Sheriff Larry Fowler said the incident was reported at 3:15 p.m., Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 in the 3000 block of Dusk Drive, in ParkerCounty.
Fowler said Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene and discovered the victim deceased in the living room of the couple’s residence near the rear entrance of the home. Sheriff’s investigators said Curtis Kuehner appeared to have suffered a fatal gun shot to the head. The official manner of death is pending the medical examiner’s autopsy results.
Sheriff’s investigators arrested Curtis Kuehner’s wife, Katherine K. Kuehner, 53, who appeared to have injuries consistent with having been involved in a recent physical altercation.
Katherine Kuehner implicated herself in the shooting, although she has not been cooperative any further in the investigation.
Kuehner was booked into the Parker County Jail later Monday and charged with murder.
“The investigation is still in its early stage,” said Sheriff Fowler.
Sheriff’s CID investigators noted there is a previous history of domestic calls to the residence dating back to 2010 in which the individuals did not wish to cooperate with deputies and refused to press charges.
“Our CID investigators are continuing to gather facts and details in this case,” Fowler said.
He added the suspected murder weapon was believed to be a .357 revolver, which was collected as evidence along with another handgun from the home.
Kuehner’s bond has not been set as of Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 2013.
