ParkerCounty Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division is conducting a robbery investigation where a 57-year-old Weatherford man was beaten in his home.
ParkerCounty Sheriff Larry Fowler said two male suspects knocked on the victim’s residence in the 200 block of Montgomery Lane around 11:20 p.m., Wednesday.
The victim reported to Sheriff’s deputies that he recognized one of the suspects as an acquaintance and allowed the men into his home. Once inside the residence, the suspects physically assaulted the homeowner, bound his hands and feet with duct tape and pulled his hair.
The victim managed to escape and ran to a nearby relative’s home. The relative dialed 9-1-1.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene, finding the victim with numerous injuries. The victim also reported the suspects had taken a flat-screen television and two rifles from his residence after the assault.
Sheriff Fowler said investigators are diligently investigating the case, following up on leads and attempting to identify and locate the suspects involved.
The first suspect is described as 5’10” tall, weighing about 180 pounds, around 30 years old. Due to the need for medical attention, the victim was unable to describe the second suspect to deputies. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
