PRESS RELEASE 06-12-2012 Robbery

ParkerCountySheriff’s deputies responded to a robbery call in the 1400 block ofNew Hope Road, Friday, June 8, 2012.

Sheriff Larry Fowler said the call came in around 9:30 p.m., where neighbors came to the residence to check on the homeowner, but were unable to enter the locked home. Through a window, the neighbors observed the victim, an 81-year-old male, bound and gagged on the living room floor of the Boyd,Texashome.

Parker County Sheriff’s deputies forced entry into the home, cleared the residence and called for paramedics to assist the man, who had been handcuffed behind his back. The victim also had duct tape on top of the handcuffs and around his head and feet.

Deputies reported the residence had been “ransacked,” in what officials believe was a robbery.

ParkerCountySheriff’s deputies conducted an initial investigation which will be continued by Wise County Sheriff’s Office due to the location of the incident.

The victim told deputies the suspects were three white, males with shaved heads. Due to his need for medical attention, the victim was not able to tell deputies any additional information about the incident.

The victim was transported by ground ambulance to aFort Worthhospital for treatment.

His current condition is unknown at this time.
