11-16-2012 Skeletal Remains Discovered, Investigation Ensues

ParkerCounty Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1100 block of Airport Road, to a deceased person call Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, around 2 p.m., where skeletal remains were discovered by a man walking a leased property.

ParkerCounty Sheriff Larry Fowler said the remains were located in a heavily wooded area near the back of the property.

ParkerCounty Sheriff’s Crime Scene investigators processed the scene and collected everything of an evidentiary nature with the assistance of the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office forensic anthropologist.

Sheriff Fowler said although the remains appeared to be human, the official determination is pending laboratory tests performed by the Tarrant county Medical Examiner’s Office.
